The music morph us
Nahualli was a new music festival in Mexico inspired by the “Nahuales”. This old tale tells us that this magic can do extraordinary things and morph into wild animals.
With this idea that Nahualli was born, taking the whole morphing idea and using it to explain how music can do the same to us.
We worked from the beginning of the idea, created the name, feeling, characters, helped with the logistics for the people involved in the festival, like bands and influencers, to deliver us videos to use in the promotional phase.
We were also involved in creating all the materials, print and digital, for the whole event.
When we worked on this project, there were several site versions.
I experimented with some analytics by following the user interaction with google analytics and Hotjar, which told me if the placement for the buttons was the best and let me know where to make changes to improve the sites’ performance.
We did these sites using the WordPress CMS and some basic HTML and CSS for a fast and easy responsive site.
We also did several posts on IG and FB daily, not only static images, but we also adapted the teaser videos for IG and created some carousels and reels.
A big part of the identity of this project was the use of entertainers dressed as “Nahuales” to entertain the people and some other circuses entertainment around the event.
We worked side-by-side with an artist to create these masks and explained what each was and how different they were supposed and their personalities. It took some time, but the final product was a set of masks intended to use in several video promotions for the event.
This particular video was also used as a teaser in the website’s background for some time.
Thru the project, I created a lot of teasers and other videos for the event. Here are some of the teasers. I used After Effects and Premiere Pro.
These videos were used for IG and FB and resized to better their performance on each platform.
